Alberto Fernandez is vice president of the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI). Previously, he served as president of the Middle East Broadcasting Networks, U.S. charge d'affaires in Sudan (2007-2009), and the State Department's coordinator for strategic counterterrorism communications, among other senior positions in Washington, the Middle East, and Africa.
